Join us from 6.15pm as the Parade of The Weeping Sisters marches through the town Centre.
A solemn procession of large figures, reflecting the grief of women for the Holocaust and other genocides, beginning at The Commercial Hotel, New Street, Huddersfield, HD1 2BW
The procession makes it’s way to The University of Huddersfield where 7.00pm a Commemorative event with words, music and candle lighting will take place.
The event will include speakers, artwork and local schools and refugee groups.
We will also be joined by Leisel Carter, a Holocaust Child Refugee, who fled persecution from Nazi Germany as a young child all alone. We will hear her story and her hope for the future.
