In this free digital event, Gulwali and Trude will discuss their experiences as refugees.

Gulwali Passarlay is an influential Afghan refugee, TEDx speaker, activist for refugee rights and the author of ‘The Lightless Sky: An Afghan Refugee Boy’s Journey of Escape to A New Life in Britain’.

Trude Silman MBE is a Holocaust refugee who escaped to the UK from Czechoslovakia. She is the current Life President of the Holocaust Survivors’ Friendship Association and one of the protagonists of our permanent exhibition ‘Through Our Eyes’.
