Humanising the Holocaust
This session explores the roles ordinary citizens took during the Holocaust: Helper, Bystander, Collaborator or Perpetrator.
What motivations led some people to help, some to join in and others to stand by? The sessions asks students what they would have done in these complicated times and to explore the difficulties in deciding which roles people undertook. Students will explore real life case studies of those involved in the Holocaust as well as exploring these roles through engaging with survivor testimony.
All sessions last approximately 90 minutes for groups of up to 40 students and include the Learning Session and a self-guided activity inside the Exhibition. For groups of more than 40 students, please contact us to discuss options.
This session costs £5.50 per child with a minimum price of £150 per group. Accompanying adults are free. To book, please download our schools booking form here: School-Booking-Form-HELC then send to firstname.lastname@example.org or email us using the contact form.
