What can we learn from documents and objects from the past, and how can they help us connect to the people who produced or owned them?

The Arolsen Archives in Germany hold millions of historical documents concerning the Holocaust, Nazi persecution, Nazi forced labour and Displaced Persons. Personal belongings of former inmates of the concentration camps are also deposited in Bad Arolsen. This talk by Anna Meier-Osiński and Dr Akim Jah from the Arolsen Archives will give an overview of the holdings of the archives and present some examples of documents and objects, and discuss their use in historical education.

This talk will take place at 7.00pm GMT – if joining us from a different country, please check the timezone appropriate to where you are.

This event is the second within our new series ‘Archives, Records, Material Memory’.
